The Group is situated in the Northwest of England, in a town called Wigan.
Now that you know where we are, let me tell you about things that we do.
As a Group we like to try and organize at least 1 Group activity a year, 1999 we took the Group to Catterick Garrison to visit my old Regiment, The 1st Kings Own Royal Border Regiment. We all had a brilliant time and look forward to going again in 2004. Over 180 people went to Catterick.
In 2000 we all went to Euro Disney, What a time we had there. 2 Days in Euro Disney and a day trip round Paris. Defiantly recommend any leader to organize a trip, it's a lot of work but the end result is really worth it. Need any information on how we did it send us an E-mail and we will send you information on how.
In 2001 we went to Tawd Vale Camp Site, on a Group Adventure Camp, Canoeing, Abseiling & Climbing, Archery, Rifle Shooting to name but a few of the activities we covered.
In 2002 and we held a Group Fun Day at The Scout Hall, Loads of Fete activities, bounces castles, Drumming, and loads of Games. The weather was not on our side but we still managed to have a great day. Unfortunately there are no Pictures of this event as I forgot my camera.
In 2003 we went back to Tawd Vale Camp Site, to hold another Group Adventure Camp, Canoeing, Abseiling & Climbing, Archery, Rifle Shooting, Built a rope bridge and even had a go at raft building & sailing, the weather was at its best and all had a great time.
2004 is here and we have a few idea floating around, one is to visit my old regiment again, the other is to hold a camp in the lakes. As soon as we decide I will let you know.
